Synopsis "The Clone Who Loved to Swim"

Bret Gawain was a very lucky boy. At least, he and his brones thought so after Annabelle gave them a home. Mrs. Grossmeyer was mean, and Mattie might be fun, but he wasn't parent material. Of course, after Annabelle died, they were lucky once again when Stephen took them in. The outside world might be a scary place, but none of the discontent and rage felt by the Non-corporate Citizens, the Noncos, intruded into Stephen's estate. The People's Army might have captured St. Louis, but still none of the fear felt by the Corporate Citizens, the Cozies, found a chink in the armor of Stephen's Cozie Security. He and Adam and Ewan should be happy. They didn't know any of the other Nesrady clones created by Dr. Escuniti, so they were frightened when they turned thirteen and started seeing the sparklies. They hadn't even known what a Precog was. They had learned to accept the Precog sparklies and the shadows, but there was something else. Ewan saw it first, but in time they all did. It wasn't a dream; it was like a faded memory, but a memory of something that might happen. The not-dream remained scary. Everyone and everything they knew could be destroyed. They had to find their older brones; they had to find John to make it right if it could be made right.
