Synopsis "The Cooley-Bushnells of Geauga County"
This book is a collection of items pertinent to the history of the Cooley-Bushnells of Geauga County, Ohio, a family of early pioneers in the Western Reserve in a town called Chardon, a town named after Peter Chardon Brooks, someone who never even saw the city. I followed an early family genealogy that was in the possession of the late Cecelia Avens Cooley (my mother-in-law) that was put together by George Eleazor Bushnell, in a work titled Bushnell Family Genealogy: Ancestry & Posterity of Francis Bushnell (1580-1646), Nashville, Tennessee, 1945, a copy of which is in the Western Reserve Historical Society in University Circle near downtown Cleveland.
