Synopsis "The Glass Partition"

The Glass Partition is the story of an unassuming young man working within the civil service. who, within the space of a week, goes from complete obscurity to being named as the most despicable man in the country by the daily press. But is he really as terrible as he seems? Or is he just the kind of person who always ends up being in the wrong place at the wrong time? The answer is both. After all, he has actually committed a crime. Only the crime he has been accused of has been deliberately blown out of all proportion to draw media attention away from someone else's much more serious crimes. Yet none of that would have happened if for once in his life he had bothered to take even a small amount of responsibility for his own actions. But instead of confronting his situation his imagination decides to invent another life for himself. One that runs parallel with his own, where everything is perfect and everyone adores him. The only problem is, the more engrossed he becomes in his new life, the more he loses control.
