Synopsis "The Heights and the Moors"

The rather ordinary lives of four university students are derailed by supernatural beings and their cult followers. There is nowhere to run, save for a mysterious portal that transports them five hundred years in the past, to a rugged island in the north Atlantic. Here, the cult's origins come to bear, and the Norse legends are more reality than myth. Lawlessness reigns upon the moors, and in the heights, humans are the objects of prey. Berserkers who assume werewolf form are combing the eastern forests. In the south, revenants known as the draugr dwell in the Myrkur range. Most people reside in the comparative sanctity of Mithrendia's fortified walls, but in the great city, the Church is ever watchful for heretics. What the Crown does not know is that its burning pyres are about to fulfill a deadly prophecy.Thrust in this cauldron of Gothic portents, the four students may just be the molders of history, if they can first survive.
