The immortal human soul possesses knowledge in actuality, while the mind possesses knowledge in potentiality. The soul's knowledge is innately codified at the sacred moment of conception, while the mind's lesser knowledge is gained from sensory experience (including experience in the womb, be it noted). Soul is will, and supreme command must be given to it among the four parts of the Self -- those being soul, spirit, mind and body in rank order of importance.
