Synopsis "The Hidden Passage"

Astor O'Connor is a young freelance photographer working mainly for an investigative agency in Dublin. He uses his camera to sneak photos of celebrities' awkward moments, yet this time something is going to be stolen from him, too - not a tangible object, but his very night dreams! In fact there are strange creatures, who penetrate the houses of unsuspecting human beings to steal their dreams. Where do such creatures come from, materializing at will into our world? What do they want from us? They are the Swawus, and it will be Astor himself who will disclose who they are. What's inside the sphere ended up in his hands, which the Swawus must recover by any means? Astor is going to get in serious trouble, but some influential friend will help him. Gradually the young photographer gets to understand that the Swawus are not dangerous: they do not trust humans, since there is a thread connecting them with us, a thread dating back to the dawn of time, when ferocious raiders came into the Irish valleys and got the peace-loving Swawu people to flee. An ancient Irish warrior had devoted his own life to defend them: from his descendants a new race of creatures originated, endowed with paranormal powers, who live concealing their own peculiarity in order to protect themselves as well the Swawus. Fate takes Astor to the archaeological site of Newgrange, 40 km from Dublin, where the mystery of the rocks engraved with graffiti, and the strange phenomenon occurring every winter solstice, have yet to be unveiled. Here the Swawus will be able to discover their own origin. Yet they keep on doubting: have human beings learnt to accept whomever is different from themselves? Better not to trust humans; even the few who know about the Swawus' existence have sworn not to disclose it. However, when the wind begins to blow no one can stop it: unknown supernatural forces advocate change. Now the ancient monsters who forced the Swawus to flee from our world are going to be defeated, thanks to those who want to understand and are sure they will be able to. Obviously overcoming differences is not easy at all, as even inside the Swawu world the leaders in charge are not going to be easily persuaded...
