Synopsis "The Hobman"
Twelve victims. Twelve young, young sacrifices... On a wet spring night, Detective Harris pulls up to an aged brownstone on the south side of Chicago. He's only there to ask some questions. The man he's to interview, Dietrich Hobman, is an acquaintance of the accused killer; nothing more. But within the hour, the detective's dead before the fireplace, a knife lodged deep in the side of his face. His partner, Silas Crowne, never a friend, never a buddy; but a partner nonetheless, can't help but feel compelled to find out why he was murdered; and where Hobman has gone. The original case had been clear cut, but another one in which the killer, Jackson Pollack, had disappeared, leaving Harry Pollack behind to pick up the pieces of his sister in law's life. Taking her into his hands; holding her every night; falling in love with her as he slipped his wedding band into his pocket; he hadn't hoped for any of that. But when his wife announces she's weeks pregnant, and with renewed interest in the case, Harry's torn between his wife and the woman he's come to protect.
