A Zambian intelligence officer is on assignment to South West Africa, a country about to gain its independence from South Africa. He has to contend dealing with gunrunners in nearby Angola and elements of rebels from the eastern Congo. The mission is also strongly resisted by elements from within the intelligence circles in Zambia, as well as by dissidents within SWAPO, the resistance movement in South West Africa. The assignment ends up being a matter of life and death, as the officer risks his life in order to help the resistance movement move towards achieving independence for the country.
