Jack has enjoyed a full life and purchased the motel to slow down. His biggest regret is never finding someone to share his life with. Several of his relationships have ended in miserable failure.Like most things in his life, Jack got more than he bargained for with the motel. The planned, quiet and slow life didn't work out. He finds himself daily at the center of chaos as life at the motel is rarely normal. It is humorous at times, and frequently tragic. Angie is a housekeeper at the motel, working two jobs to make ends meet. Jack is her boss. The two of them make a good work team. They have become friends over time. Co-workers see the sparks and feel Jack and Angie should be more than friends. At home, Angie finds herself locked in another bad relationship. She lacks the necessary courage to leave. With her children the only bright spot in a loveless life, Angie feels finding happiness has passed her by. Her past mistakes and poor choices have made her wary of change. The fear of past mistakes, fear of being alone and fear of risking their friendship prevent Jack and Angie from taking the chance that there is something more.Fate intervenes leaving Angie open to pursuing Jack. Free of the anchors that weigh her down, she is ready to open her heart.
