Synopsis "The Mystery Of Lulworth Cove"

Billy Monroe had never been a particularly impulsive man, but when he saw that the car of his dreams - a stunning ninety-year-old Bugatti - was being sold at a local auction, something ignited inside him. Dropping everything to make sure nobody else could beat him to the punch, Billy splashed out and bought the car that he had felt such an unnatural connection to. But upon further inspection he realised that it wasn't the Bugatti itself that interested him the most, but a letter he later discovered stuffed away inside it. A letter addressed to him. Written by a Susan Mendoza and dated 1926, Billy begins to unravel the meaning of the letter and the seeming act of fate that brought it to his attention in the first place. Discovering the Mendoza holiday home just off the beach of Lulworth Cove, the lives of Billy and the mystery woman in the letter begin to entwine. Learning more and more about Susan and her past it becomes obvious that coming into contact with the letter almost a century after it was written was no accident, and that Billy might have a deeper connection to this woman than he first thought; and it might not be impossible, despite how crazy it sounds, to contact her and find out for himself. Author Roy Christie spins a haunting and romantic tale about the entanglement of two lives divided by decades in the pages of his new mystery novel. While Billy comes into contact with forces he would have never believed unless he saw them with his own two eyes, with the help of Susan and the impossible letter he embarks on a quest to solve The Mystery of Lulworth Cove.
