Synopsis "The Narrow Path: 2 - February"

This book is one of a collection of scripture readings for daily study, together with a selection of themed verses for meditation, either in isolation or as part of a regular prayer regime. The readings are based on a traditional lectionary and are based on the date, rather than the liturgical year. This means that the collection can be used year after year, not being specific to any one year. It also means that the readings will often be different to those used in church services, further broadening our Bible study experience.Volume 13, the Special Edition, contains additional readings for special occasions, such as Advent, Lent and Easter, and Volume 14, The Journey to the Cross, is a specific Lenten meditation including the prayers of the Early Christian Church. In this way the whole collection of 14 books complete a beautiful and invaluable permanent devotional tool, capable of being used year in year out, lasting a lifetime. Each day there are readings and meditations for morning and evening - there is no need to read both because they are independent of each other but they do follow each other in a sequence. The morning readings include a reading from the Book of Psalms and the evening readings a text from The Imitation of Christ, by Thomas à Kempis, for meditation and to help us develop the spiritual side of our walk in Christ.
