Synopsis "The Old Marine"

"Son have you ever killed a man ?" "No I haven't Dad why do you ask?" replied the son. "Good" said the father, "because what you have done is give that man seniority in hell and he will be waiting for you". Join The Old Marine as he lives out the last day of his life. He joined the United States Marine Corps just before his seventeenth birthday and one month after the surprise attack by Japan on our naval base at Pearl Harbor, on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. During the course of the war in the pacific he suffered wounds to his mind and body. The effects of these wounds would plague him all of his life. Not knowing it is the last day of his life he finds himself again in the V A hospital. At one point he vaguely hopes it is his last day of life. He would then be free of the mental and physical pain he has endured much of his post war life. Follow The Old Marine as his eyes close for the last time on earth and opens them for the first time on the other side. See with him that the horror of war doesn't stop with his death.
