Synopsis "The Patriotic Bride"
Beautiful and intelligent Ada Crawford is the daughter of prominent Abolitionists in New York City. Her parents decide that it is time for her to marry, and they choose a husband for her. Colonel Edgar Clark is a handsome and daring young gentleman whom they view as very impressive. Ada does not see much in him besides a massive ego. While traveling, on her way to marry, Ada strikes up an unlikely friendship with Oscar a soldier. It turns out that he is a former Confederate from Louisiana, Ada soon develops feelings for him. Before she has long to fret about that, they are ambushed by Indians. Oscar rescues her before she can be injured or killed, and they start the long trek to Prescott on foot. Except... Ada could swear that the sign that they just passed said Tucson - which is the site of the Confederate base! Is her dashing new friend lying to her and leading her astray?
