Synopsis "The Pinera Bread Murders"

Three short stories about murders most foul yet fiendishly clever. Writers and poets mysteriously die horrible deaths in front of friends and colleagues. Every time Charlie Chang comes to South Florida to visit friends another poet or writer dies. Please not to fear, Inspector Chang is on these cases. Surely justice will be done. That's Chang not Chan. Charlie Chang is the son born in the late forties of a Shanghai police chief. His father was a fan of the fictional Chan and so named his son Charlie. The younger Chang followed in his father's footsteps in China. In the time of Mao, he faced re-education or worse so emigrated to America where he settled in Seattle. There he rose to the rank of Chief Inspector of Homicide before retiring to consult in such matters. Like his father Chang was a big fan of Chan on the silver screen and modeled (some would say effected) many of the mannerisms of the fictional Charlie Chan.
