In the continued search for the long lost von Detten treasure, the Dreadcranks and Ringers are no closer to their goals. The city of Engia is dividing as the rival gangs increase their strength and support among the people. Convinced Kassidy is aiding the Dreadcranks with her own private information, the Ringers set out to find out just what it is she and only she knows. However she didn't get her nickname for nothing, and keeping a hold on her will prove to be quite difficult, if not impossible.
