Synopsis "The Rusty Scuppers"

Ens. Roger Cabel, recent graduate of the US Naval Academy, expected to spend two years training for military intelligence. Instead the Academy recalled him to teach advanced seamanship. What he thinks will be a dull assignment quickly turns into a dangerous summer cruise in the Florida Keys. Cabel and his crew of a half-dozen hand-picked Third-year Midshipmen have orders to recruit for the Academy, observe a fleet of freighters donated to Florida's artificial reef project, and test the Navy's new stealth attack boat-a twin jet-engine catamaran straight out of a spy movie. From the first the freighters raise troubling questions. Is someone using the environmental project as cover for illegal activity? And who is it-a gang smuggling drugs or a terrorist group aiming to destroy the US economy? Cabel and his Mids have to find the answers before they're blown up with their boat.
