Synopsis "The Study of Giardia Lamblia in children who fed by breastfeeding"
Giardiasis is one of the most common intestinal parasitic infection in all over the world which took place generally in children under five age. Giardiasis could be visible in children under five age in to one of the following shapes: 1.Asymptomatic infection 2.acute diarrhea 3.chronic diarrhea. Research Objectives 1.detection of giardia Lamblia parasite in children under five age who fed by breastfeeding and bottle feeding .2.effectiveness of breastfeeding in under five age children in prevention of giardia Lamblia. Methods and Materials This research was a Cross-sectional study and whenever children were brought by their parents at pediatric service of Maiwand teaching hospital and took complete history of children and also performed physical examination upon them then according to their signs and symptoms Direct stool microscopy and concentration techniques were utilised to identify parasites. Questionnaires were also administered.Result: in this study we found that prevalence of giardia lamblia parasite in 144 children of under five age (61.2%) were positive and however in 56 children under five age(38.8%) were negative.
