Synopsis "The Sword and the Tear"
Trained from childhood as an Othanite warrior, dedicated to Othan, the god of war, Heth is completely prepared for the battle to deliver Prince Rommorik's wife from the enemy, King Evander. He is not, however, prepared for King Evander's sister, Fia. He is not prepared for the resurrection of his past, for the hope of revenge, for destruction, for salvation, or for love. Playing the decoy as Rommorik's wife, Fia is not prepared for battle at all. She is not prepared for an Othanite warrior or for learning to power of the garnet charm, Sebec's Tear, that was left to her by her mother. And she is not prepared for an unlikely alliance, a desperate rescue attempt, or a confrontation with the deadly, frozen Sword of Harrow. In the unexpected war that engulfs them, Heth and Fia face hardship, pain, and loss. They must grapple with the history of the Sword and the Tear and the events of their own youth that shaped their lives and brought them together. And ultimately, they must confront the fears and secrets inside themselves in order to survive.
