Synopsis "The True Enemy"
Nine year old Gary was exceptionally smart and excelled in all of his classes. He was so smart, the school decided to move him up to the fifth grade. All of the students picked on him for it and caused him trouble. This was the least of Gary's problems due to his home living condition which was much worse. Abused and neglected by his drug-addicted parents, he was held captive to his own imagination. Gary never had any friends until one day, he met Payton. They became best friends and played outside together every day. The more time they spent together, the more they began to learn things about each other. Gary's new best friend seemed to have everything in life he could ever want. Payton began to notice Gary's problems and attempted to help him solve them but, not in the way Gary could have ever imagined.
