Synopsis "The Unexpected Witness"
When she was a small child, Tracy Weaver witnessed the unsolved murder of a young woman. Several years later, while attending college, she is horrified when she recognizes the murderer in a political commercial on television. In the middle of the night on a farm in rural southwest Ohio, five year old Tracy Weaver chased after her runaway kitten. Instead of finding her lost pet, she stumbled across three men who came out into the country to bury the body of a girl whom they had kidnapped from Indiana. To their dismay, the killers discovered that their victim was still alive. The leader finished her off, not knowing that a small child hid in the tall grass nearby. The murder remained undiscovered. Now, sixteen years later, Tracy attends college in the small town of Hamilton, Ohio. While at school she meets her soul mate and future husband, Paul, and their romance blossoms. One night while over at his apartment, she sees the killer in a political commercial. He is now the county prosecutor, and he's running for the state senate. Tracy soon finds herself in a race against time to somehow convince the authorities that their newly elected senator is a murderer before she becomes his next victim. What can she do? Who can she turn to? The Unexpected Witness is an old school romantic thriller about an ordinary Midwestern couple caught in the cross-hairs of a corrupt politician.
