Synopsis "The Volunteer"
Houston Police Homicide Detective Frank Tipton was a lonely, angry man who had spent too many years in a thankless job butting heads with Houston's notorious. The things he had seen and the people he had interacted with, for all those years, had given him nightmares most every night. When Brenda Ferguson, Frank's young partner, is mortally wounded. The guilt, from her death, forces Frank to end his thirty-year carrier. After retiring he spends months of soul searching, struggling with his destructive past, till his ex lieutenant gets him involved in an officer's training program. During his first training session, the community is turned upside down by a brutal homicide and Frank is asked to assist in the investigation. Reluctantly he accepts and after an extensive investigation and six dead bodies, Frank and his new partner, find evil that runs deep in the small Texas town.
