Synopsis "The Winter Sun"
Everything within the walled-off city of the fae kingdom relies on order, but for Gwendolyn Clearwater, a sympathetic young healer, following the law can be difficult. In a single instant of pity and instinct, Gwen is sentenced to die in a labyrinth at the hands of a monster. Fate, though, has other plans. Saved by a young centaur named Gavrael who's committed to protecting her, Gwen finds herself outside the walls and seeing what lies beyond for the very first time. Together in a world very different from what the fae had described and unlike anything she'd expected, Gwen and Gav set a trail of saved lives and healed travelers.However, no good deed goes unpunished, and their efforts drag them into the plotting human empire. With their newest weapon, the Winter Sun, the once neutral species has the power to reshape the world. Facing this new threat as well as her old life, Gwen has to learn that love and kindness will not be enough, and, with Gav by her side and the help of new friends, they must find a way to stop the humans and save a world that she only just became a part of.
