Synopsis "Three's a Crowd - The Douglas Files: Book Two"

P.I. Jackson Douglas is inundated with women. While pondering the murder of a man named Douglas Jackson, he encounters Ryan, Stephanie, and Marissa-along with all their troubles. First Ryan finds Jackson by mistake, thinking he's Douglas Jackson, unware of the murder, and unable-or unwilling-to provide any answers about her past. The next day, Jackson rescues Stephanie from her abusive husband and brings her home with him. That night, Marissa seeks out Jackson, afraid that her boyfriend (who just hired Jackson to find her) is trying to kill her. While providing the trio a safe place to stay, Jackson works to solve each of their problems. But with three women relying on his investigative skills and clinging to his assurances, he fears he may be in over his head. Discovering more secrets and deception at every turn, Jackson is forced to put aside conflicting emotions and make difficult choices. When he uncovers the whole truth, even his best efforts can't produce three happy endings.
