Synopsis "Time Takes its Toll: Philosophies of a Dead man"

The tale of William Donovan takes the reader through: his making, training, trials, tough choices, sacrifices, imprisonment, and restoration. Told by the vampire himself as he is once again released into an ever-changing world, William unfolds philosophical notions that the reader is invited to either agree with or dispute as they enjoy his story. In three books, William is faced with the challenges of acceptance of change, the pursuit of what he feels is ethically right, and the abandonment of the shackles of social norms to indulge himself in the gifts presented in everyday life. Though to some, he may seem to lose his mind along the way, but he discovers that it is a small price to pay for the gift of life. The philosophical points made in the account of William’s tale are made in order to incite the reader to reflect not only on ethics and morals, but they are presented to reach into the reader and allow them the opportunity to find within themselves the ability to see life as more than the same routine or absent-minded gestures that lead them around by the nose through their day. With that much in mind, enjoy this novel with the light-hearted intent it was written, but be mindful of the content it expresses with every character, opportunity, and conflict encountered.
