Through poems and stories, sensitive topics are introduced, like Obesity, Lyme Disease, Vitiligo, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Homelessness, and Epilepsy. Students describe their experience living with these challenges and bring awareness of the difficulty a classroom setting can be. Each student has a dedicated poem, tips to make students with challenges more comfortable, and discussion questions for parents and teachers to encourage conversation.
