Synopsis "Tones of the Body's Voices: Crying in the Rain"
Carter Winslow has worked his way up the ladder at Riverside High School. Despite his lack of a degree, he has progressed from coach to assistant principal. He loves his job, his wife, and his three children, and even though he faces contentious relationships with envious staff and conflict between local teenagers, he thinks he's finally made it. But when his daughter falsely accuses him of sexually molesting her, everything comes crashing down. No charges are filed, but Carter's reputation is forever sullied. Soon, he is divorced and estranged from his children. But Carter doesn't let the lies and jealousy bring him down. He retreats to his lake house, and seventeen years later, he's rebuilt his life. When his ex-wife, Mary, shows up to revisit decades-old trauma, Carter doesn't want to drag up the past. But Mary has secrets to share that could set Carter free of his years of unwarranted shame. First, though, a web of dishonesty must be untangled, and those who perpetrated these lies must finally admit to them.
