The first death in each city always appeared to be a random act, but never the second. The Stickman Killer signed each second victim with a stick figure drawing to prove the murders were his and payment was due. A team of sarcastic pursuers was unleashed, only to discover the killer was more powerful than any suspected, had directed their actions from the beginning....and his true goal could be their mutual destruction. They journeyed through desert sandstorms and bitter December skies, always two steps behind the killer. Concern built about the serial killer's identity and motives. The entity financing the team seemed to have far more knowledge of the killer's activities than any outside observer should...including where the killer would strike next. The team began to fear that the killer was one of their own. A political war broke out between a wealthy financier, a mysterious high ranking client, and a team member suddenly being accused of murder. The cast of characters expands in Part Two...with Anna and Lilith assuming control.
