Turtle Tom was in danger! He had been washed up from the beach and was splashing around trying to figure out how to survive the tides that stole him. All of a sudden, a huge hawk with magnificent wings swooped down and carried Turtle Tom away. Was the hawk trying to help Turtle Tom or was he going to eat him? Turtle Tom is plunged into the deep sea. Yet, Turtle Tom makes an amazing discovery about himself...He can swim! Tom sees many wonderful creatures swimming in the sea. Some are swimming alone and others are with large groups of family. Turtle Tom longs to be with his family. In the distance, Turtle Tom sees something swimming towards him. Could this be his family? Oh No! Turtle Tom is captured by some fishermen! Could this be the end of Turtle Tom? The Turtle Tom Book Series is a wonderful story of a young turtle who strives to find the family he never knew. It is a story of challenges, fun, setbacks and excitement; but most importantly, of hope. His strength and determination proves to be a wonderful lesson for young and old alike. Throughout the book series, Turtle Tom journeys to and from some unknown origins for a little turtle. Along the way, he meets many friends and foes while getting himself into some unpredictable situations. Each story is uniquely written to flow from one book to another; yet, can also be read at any juncture in the series given the flashback intro which is provided at the beginning of each new adventure.
