Synopsis "Twilight's Last Gleaming: A Cautionary Tale"

Twilight's Last Gleaming is a political thriller set in the near future at a time when an economic and social collapse is eminent. Socialism and fascist principles have filtered into the fabric of American life. America's influence on the world stage is in decline. Our enemies no longer fear us and our allies no longer believe we have their backs. "Big Brother" is monitoring every aspect of American life, and as one government agent states, "certain liberties and freedoms that the American public have taken for granted will have to be modified or surrendered in order to protect the people from themselves and outside influences." The main story line revolves around a disgraced former special forces Marine who becomes the target of a government conspiracy and is wrongfully imprisoned. After a botched plot to kill him fails in prison, his former "band of brothers" arrange an unscheduled early release and aid him in his endgame of redemption and revenge.
