Synopsis "Сulture-bound words in Uzbek and English linguocultural space"
Culture-bound words or specific words that mirror the specific things and concepts belonging only to a certain nation are considered one of the main barriers that create difficulties in intercultural communication. An integral part of the linguocultural component is a specially selected homogeneous language material that reflects the culture of the country of the target language, as well as non-equivalent background vocabulary, non-verbal sign languages, facial expressions and everyday behavior. A constant sign of the belonging of words to linguistic and cultural material is the presence of a national and cultural component in them, which is absent in other languages. The modern scientific paradigm that has developed in linguistics and related disciplines allows us to consider specific words not only as special lexical units, but also as a source of extralinguistic knowledge. If initially the realities were in the field of interests, first of all, of translators, now the sphere of functioning of this term has significantly expanded, extending to works in linguistics, cultural studies, history, as well as to interdisciplinary courses.
