Synopsis "Understanding Principles and Practice of crime and criminolgy: Understanding Principles and Practice of Crime and Criminology"

Prolegomenon It is worthy of note that, "being a criminologist is exciting," wrote one respondent. "It's unique," said another. "It's unpredictable," ventured a third, it is a noble discipline added the fourth. In final note the subject is called criminology rendezvous in that other disciplines in the busy crossroads of sociology, psychology, law, political science, economic, and philosophy met and unified by the study of crime and issues related to it. The number of adjectives that describe the word of the criminologist would fill more than a page, but one thing is certain. It is imperative that criminologist is a social scientist who specializes in the study and control of crime. They are not on the front lines fighting crime like police officers and other law enforcement agencies. Instead, criminologists gather and analyze statistics about crimes and the people who commit them in order to identify patterns of criminal behavior. Criminologists use this information to develop theories that explain the causes and effects of criminal behavior so that it can be minimized and controlled . Criminology is the scientific procedure to studying both social and individual criminal actions. It is divided up into several separate disciplines including psychology, sociology, economic, political science, natural science, biology, evolution and development of people. While other investigative professionals are in charge of who committed a crime and how, while criminologists are responsible for answering why someone would be led to breaking the law or causing a crime. The field of study has a long, rich history and has changed a lot. However, instructors and academic researchers who are criminologists' earned doctorate usually become teachers. They teach criminology classes to University, College, and Polytechnic students who are pursuing degrees, postgraduate diploma and master's degree in subjects like criminology, sociology, psychology and criminal justice. Therefore, professors often divide their time between teaching, conducting their own academic research and publishing books, monographs, and journals. Criminology degrees or postgraduate diplomas provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to conduct in-depth research, work in criminal justice system, security industry, and learn about specific psychological behaviors that apply to criminals. After completing a criminology degree or diploma program, most graduates gain work experience and training through a professorship or internship program. This helps them work with professionals in their industry, and they can get hands-on experience with a variety of projects.
