Synopsis "Urban Governance and quality of life in Brazzaville"
This study addresses the problems that result in the urban governance of Brazzaville that have an impact on the quality of life of the population. Brazzaville is a macro cephalic, city with 1,700,000 inhabitants (2015). It is a large city, which receives citizens from every part of the country. Due to the increase in human population in Brazzaville, the city is faced with a strong migratory pressure from the first metropolis of the DRC. With a population of 15 million, Kinshasa exerts strong pressure on Brazzaville. The population increase is a milestone in African cities and complicates the task of those responsible for the urban governance of cities. The city of Brazzaville which was created to house a relatively small population has experienced an overwhelmed increase in urban settlement for some time. The surrounding villages are gradually disappearing because of the spatial dynamics. Estimated at 122,000 inhabitants in 1961 and 1700000 in 2015, Brazzaville is more popular. The growth of the urban population of the city of Brazzaville has an impact on both the lifestyle and urban governance. Urban growth assumed in another context means the establishment of adequate equipment.
