Sorghum ist ein wichtiges Grundnahrungsmittel in Afrika, Südasien und Mittelamerika. In den USA, Australien und anderen Industrieländern wird es als Tierfutter angebaut. Sorghum ist anfällig für 23 verschiedene Pilzkrankheiten, von denen die Kraut- und Knollenfäule, verursacht durch Fusarium moniliforme, für erhebliche Ertragseinbu en von bis zu 50 % verantwortlich ist. In der vorliegenden Studie wird daher versucht, die Pflanzenextrakte gegen die samenbürtigen Krankheiten von Sorghum zu bewerten.
