Synopsis "Wolf Creek Redemption: A Poignant Story of Betrayal and Renewal"
Sometimes God allows things into our lives to grow us. And sometimes He uses those things to draw us closer to Him so He can heal us and help us start over. Mara Henderson was sure she had the perfect life. Married to her college sweetheart, smart, handsome, fun loving Brad Henderson. Living with him in their cozy beach cottage on a South Carolina island. Spending her days at home writing articles and short stories for several magazines, and dreaming about publishing the novel that she had nearly finished. Sure, it hadn't all been perfect. Just a year ago, she had lost her parents to a terrible car accident caused by a drunk driver. But as awful as that had been, Brad had shown himself to be a strong support and a caring comforter who helped her through the grief. They had grown closer and even had started talking about starting their own family. And now, here she was at her annual writers' conference and she'd been offered that book contract she'd been dreaming about. Thrilled and excited, she cancelled out of her remaining workshops, changed her plane ticket and raced home a day early to surprise Brad with her wonderful news. But Mara was the one to be surprised, in fact, shocked, as she finds Brad wrapped in the arms of another woman. Then, he disappears and she learns that their house has been rented, their bank account emptied, and he has left divorce papers for her to sign. And if that isn't enough, she finds herself on the run, fleeing to escape the wrath of a crime syndicate seeking revenge for Brad's illicit actions. Feeling lost and totally alone in the world, Mara wonders if even God has turned His back on her. Dazed by her circumstances, but fearing that her life is in danger, she struggles to move forward. With the help of her friends, both old and new, she places her trust in God and finds an inner strength and hope for a future.
