Synopsis "Writing Christmas Stories (Once upon a time)"
This narrative writing workbook is perfect for those days just before Christmas. Students select the characters and setting from a dozen cartoon images on each page. Your students will laugh as they choose who is in the story: a karate Santa, a snowball-throwing snowman, a smiling reindeer, a laughing frog, a scared dragon, a silly clown, a grinning monster, a hat-wearing spider, a dancing monkey. Then they decide where and when the story takes place: in an alien spaceship, during a snowstorm, in a haunted house, at midnight, on a steep hill, in a hot-air balloon, on a ship, in a helicopter, on a racetrack. You students will laugh at the pictures, and they'll appreciate the chance to be creative and funny.
