Tyler Rivers is a successful country music star with a young son. His one try at marriage was a disaster and he has become tired with the lack of privacy that being a celebrity brings. He makes the decision to move back to his roots and raise his son in the small town atmosphere that he grew up appreciating. In the back of his mind and deep in his heart, he still held on to the small town girl that had grown up as his best friend. Shannon McKinley-Keystone returns to her hometown after the death of her professional football player husband. The publicity and legal battle after the accident that caused his death led her to take her pre-teen daughter back to her hometown so that they could both heal. Working to put their lives back together the last thing she wanted was to be reminded of the boy she had grown up and fallen in love with. After all, he had broken her heart and she had never forgotten it. In a small town it's hard to avoid running into people you've known all your life so when Ty and Shannon came face to face with each other at a community festival it was no surprise to anyone but them. Ty saw it as a sign of good luck; whereas, Shannon didn't quite feel the same. Will they be able to put the past behind them and pick up the pieces of their broken lives or will yesterday's promises stay unfulfilled and buried in the past...
