Synopsis "A Dose of Reality"
As a young girl growing up in Summit, Mississippi, Mya Jackson had witnessed unexplainable miracles. Her grandma stresses the importance of believing in God, and so she did just that, no questions asked. Now at the age of forty-something, it is Mya who's in need of one of those Supernatural, Miraculous Miracle. Since she had always been obedient and gave God the Glory, there was no doubt in her mind God's favor saved her life on that star-lit night, May 17, 2007.A charismatic, beautiful, black woman, who despite not graduating from college, succeeds in running a successful hair and women fashion business called, A Ladies Touch. For years she purposely kept hidden regrets, safely tucked away, in the back of her mind. Deliberately, kept there so not to repeat them. The unthinkable happens. Mya's best friend, who works as a nurse in a hospital out of state, calls her. Carter, her ex, of three years had just been admitted in critical condition. Her heart stopped. Just the thought of him opens up old; what she thought was healed, wounds. A twist of faith. Maybe. Much is at stake for Mya as she voluntarily takes a trip back to the past.
