Synopsis "Alexander Hamilton: A Nation Changed"
Alexander Hamilton was a native of British West Indies, where he was born in 1755 on an island named, the island of Nevis. Both his parents held a good family reputation where his mother was the daughter of a French Protestant doctor, whereas his father was a son of Scottish nobleman and was himself a traveling trader. The trail of his dramatic life history is spread over 49 years which included extraordinary accomplishments as well as controversies. He worked for the Revolutionary army in the capacity of lieutenant-colonel and as a secretary to George Washington. In both these capacities, he fought untiringly for endorsement of the Constitution and worked as a key resource for defining the governmental mechanisms with regard to a developing and growing national economy. However, this is just one side of the story. If you turn the pages of history and biographies, then you will come to know that in the American nation's consciousness and memory Hamilton possesses a vaguely negative and cloudy image.
