Synopsis "Believe"

They are the most brutal Empire we have known for generations. I am a seventeen-year-old slave, who must endure a life of servitude and sacrifice to keep my family alive. The Empire has taken away my mother, my sister, my friends, everyone and everything I have ever known or cared about including the only girl I have ever loved. In my grief, my actions have inadvertently started a chain reaction which is leading to full scale rebellion. The Empire has sent two armies to crush our resistance. My resistance consists of 300 starved and maltreated slave children. They have an army of 5000 well fed battle hardened men. I have hijacked an armoured Imperial State train. They have a limitless arsenal of the most sophisticated weapons on the planet. I have promised my slave children to get them to freedom or die trying. They have vowed to kill every single rebel slave child and have promised to handsomely reward the one who ends my life.I have made a pledge to my younger sister and will cheat death as many times as it takes to fulfil my promise. They are planning victory celebrations as a foregone conclusion, and have ordered ingeniously gruesome deaths for every rebel slave child and our families. Unknown to the Empire... we have a stolen nuclear warhead in our possession and we intend to deliver it to the Emperor's door step. I grew up and went to school in the historic city of Nottingham, where the legend of Robin Hood and Sherwood Forest enchanted a young boy's imagination. Encouraged by truly inspirational teachers, I fell in love with writing stories.Growing up I did a variety of jobs all of which were rewarding, but it was my love for writing that won my heart in the end.I now live and work in the city of London where I still continue to write my stories to my heart's content. I sincerely hope my books can provide joy for my readers and most of all inspire more young people to write so together we can keep the magic alive!
