Synopsis "Cyber Katch: A Jake Powell Mystery"

Billie decides to leave Metro and spend some of the money she received after the death of Alfred Gaun. Alfred's death affected her more deeply than most people realize. She leaves Jake a note, takes a leave if absence and moves to Paris. In the meantime, Jake and his interim partner Ryan Hishiro get called to a domestic kidnapping. Jake calls for SWAT and a hostage negotiator. While coming to the scene, the SWAT vehicle crashes and all passengers are killed. An inspection of the vehicle shows it was hacked, commandeered and made to crash. The Sheriff calls on Jake and Felicity Smithers from the Cyber Division to crack the case not knowing that Felicity and Jake are romantically attached. Jake gets pulled into the unfamiliar territory of cybercrime and must work with Felicity to capture Lucifer. While working to capture the elusive Lucifer, Jake and Felicity must control their passion while working close together on the case.
