Zak Bates, Ra-Kit the Magic Cat, and Sampson the Flying Dog are on another eco-adventure that takes them first to the Illinois River, where Zak meets Minzhe. According to Ra-Kit, Minzhe is the oldest, wisest and orneriest Asian Silver Carp alive today. They then travel to the Florida Everglades, where Zak is introduced to Ohnmar: a large and angry python that was released to the wilds by his owner.
