Life began on a difficult note for Dr. Kavara Gee while growing up in South Carolina, as he witnessed verbal abuse between his parents that escalated to physical abuse from his reverend father. He wasn't immune from the abuse either, as his mother verbally abused him and he was molested as a child. Once he felt called to preach at thirteen, the struggles continued as he questioned his identity as a man, endured rejection from the church and became a teenage father. However, Dr. Gee depended on God to get through and remain in his calling to preach Jesus' love and redemption to others.
