Synopsis "Every Vote Matters: Essays on a Surplus People Left Behind"

EVERY VOTE MATTERS is the story of the Republican politically engineered demise of yesterday's living-wage jobs and worker prosperity. It is a narrative of some 180 million suffering Americans struggling day-to-day to provide for the basic necessities of life in today's Republican LIVES FOR PROFIT "trickle-down" subsistence economy. It is a PLEA for the return of a People of Liberty to an American Electoral Democracy "of, by, and for" the people" FREE from the Greed and Corruption, Injustice, and "big money" politics of the Conservative "laissez-faire" PROFIT OVER PEOPLE "survival of the fittest, every man for himself" world of predatory individual extremism. ABANDONED Suddenly, Mary exclaims, "I'm worried, Bill; I'm really scared!" Before Bill can answer, she continues, "I just don't know how we're going to get through the winter." Bill, responding thoughtfully, says, "I understand how you feel, Mary. We're 68 years old, worked hard all our lives to raise three children, and remain debt free." Yes, Mary says, "Only to lose our pensions to the plant closure in the "Hedge Fund" hostile takeover, and then what little we had been able to save and invest was lost in last years' Financial Speculation Collapse. "And we're not alone," Bill replies, "the young families in the neighborhood with only part-time minimum-wage work available are in the same situation. There are times I too feel we're alone, Mary; it's, as if we've been politically betrayed and abandoned in a "trickle-down" swamp of greed, corruption, and injustice."
