An ordinary day, if such a thing existed, within the turmoil that is Belfast in 1979. But this day would be different, not just because of the prospect of the local football team making into the league cup semi-final, but because of one action that would lead the boy to a struggle well beyond the confines of the street fighting he was already accustomed to. This time, the race would be to save his immortal soul in a struggle few had experienced before and none had returned from. Injury time is a quirky, funny and often disturbing look at life through the eyes of a young boy living through "the troubles" and a wider look at the evil that lurks in the background. The book, in 2 parts, with real characters that you can easily identify with, leads you through the boys daily life and into the fight for his very soul in a way that grips you and entertains and scares in equal measure.
