Synopsis "Micro Health Service Management in Cambodia"
Cambodia is one of the developing countries where health conditions are among the worst and families invest the most in healthcare expenditures. Health insurance service is a major concern in Cambodian health system. There is no public health insurance scheme yet, while people pay whole money when they need healthcare or go to near-by private clinics. That is why private health insurance services have been created to satisfy the needs of users in health service. One of those services, micro-health insurance service plays important role in poverty reduction and economic development in Cambodia, especially in helping poor people. This comes with my interest of this research topic. Micro Health Insurance Service Management in Cambodia: Experience from SKY case. This book aimed to study the importance of users and health facilities on microhealth insurance service management in Cambodia, which a case of Sokhapheap Krousar Yeung (SKY) was picked up to discuss in this study. The discussion of users included users and non-users of SKY. The discussion of health facilities included public hospitals, private hospitals and clinics, and related health institutions.
