Every small town has its mystery. Every middle-classed neighborhood has its secrets. Jack Steel lives in a small town in a middle-classed neighborhood. In this middle class neighborhood there is a middle-classed coffee shop owned by two cousins. Jack is a regular at this coffee shop every morning. Until one day... Mabel the waitress was caught at the back door of the coffee shop with a bloody knife in her hand. If that's not bad enough, the body, under the bloody knife in her hand, belonged to her date the Saturday before. It wasn't a good date, and as wild as Mabel was in her past, all guilt pointed toward her. Mabel landed her butt in jail and her only hope for freedom was her friend and loyal customer Jack. Now Jack, not sure if he believed her story, in the entirety, believed in Mabel as a person and would do anything to prove her innocence, including risking his life. As the story proceeds and Jack dives deeper into Mabel's past, he bumps into two thugs that do nothing, but enjoy making his life miserable. Two thugs, and a secret that could reveal the mystery that'd been tucked away in this sleepy little town's past for a long, long time.
