Our Girl is a time capsule. Artfully combining fictional interactions and dialog with historical facts, interlaced with actual letters written by her grandfather to her grandmother, Christy Bennett builds her story, giving us an opportunity to remember life as it once was; the honor, personal commitment, loyalty, perseverance, devotion, self-discipline and a willingness to self-sacrifice that were the normal, rather than the exceptional, cultural characteristics of the period of time before, during and just after World War II.
