And, for the first time since cruise liners and aeroplanes began taking passengers to the four corners of the globe, the seas and skies were almost empty.People everywhere had their holidays, business trips, weddings, birthdays and family reunions cancelled indefinitely.In March 2020 Roberto Chiesa - a partner in a travel company based in Italy - started an online group aimed at raising the spirits of hundreds of his 'stuck-at-home' tourism colleagues, mostly from Europe and North America, whose other shared connection was that they promoted travel to Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.Roberto invited everyone to share their favourite home-made recipes and his 'tourism family' jumped at the chance to stay connected.
