Synopsis "Respire"
When the National Guard left, and the barricades fell, Hell was unleashed. Years later, the few remaining people in Illinois towns are still left fighting among each other, the New American Government, Tommy's Militia, and the creatures that caused this world-ending event, the lurkers.Lone survivor Patrick McKinley must flee west, away from the New American Government that is following him. Equipped with a heavy arsenal and an above average knowledge of the beasts, he just wants to find a way to keep surviving in this desolate new reality. Meanwhile, with supplies in Mahomet running out, the number of lurkers increasing and Tommy's Militia spreading into neighboring towns, Sarah Gibbs, Steve Mintz, and "Doc" are forced to come up with a plan to get all of the residents of the "Sick Ward" out of town, before they become target practice, or worse...
