Synopsis "Strychnos spinosa und hoher Blutdruck (in German)"

Ziel der vorliegenden Studie ist es, die Verwendung von Strychnos spinosa (Loganiaceae) in der traditionellen Medizin als blutdrucksenkende Pflanze aufzuwerten. An isolierter Ratten-Aorta, die mit Phenilephrin vorkontaktiert wurde, bewirkt der Rohextrakt der Pflanze eine endothelabhängige Vasorelaxation mit einem Entspannungs-EC50-Wert von 0,900 0,054 mg/ml. L-NAME hemmt die durch den Extrakt von Strychnos spinosa induzierte gefä erweiternde Wirkung mit einem Anstieg des EC50-Wertes auf 2,254 0,140mg/ml, was zeigt, dass die gefä erweiternde Wirkung einen Mechanismus beinhaltet, der NO einbezieht. Die Hemmung der Wirkung durch Propranolol mit einer EC50 von 2,762 0,138mg/ml zeigt, dass die gefä erweiternde Wirkung die Beteiligung von β2-Adrenorezeptoren beinhaltet.
